Brake System Cleaner

■ MASUMA Brake System Cleaner is an aerosol maintenance product specially developed for automotive brake system servicing. Formulated with environmentally friendly, non-fluorocarbon solvents, it is designed for cleaning automotive brake and clutch components. The formula is intended to be safe and non-toxic when used as directed. During prolonged vehicle use, brake pad wear dust, oil and grease, road dirt, and sand can readily accumulate on disc brakes, drum brakes, brake calipers, and clutch components. These contaminants may cause brake noise, uneven brake pad wear, reduced braking performance, and accelerated brake pad wear. This product quickly dissolves stubborn contaminants and is an essential workshop consumable for brake servicing and brake pad or brake disc replacement. By thoroughly cleaning brake components, it helps maintain consistent braking performance and support everyday driving safety.

■ The product is suitable for cleaning the brake systems and clutch components of gasoline- and diesel-powered passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and trucks. It is designed to remove brake dust, lubricant and oil stains, mud, sand, and other contaminants from disc brakes, drum brakes, brake calipers, clutch slave cylinders, and brake and chassis components. It is suitable for use during brake pad replacement, comprehensive brake maintenance, and chassis inspections and repairs.
Product Advantages
■ Environmentally Friendly, Non-Toxic Formula: The product uses environmentally friendly, non-fluorocarbon solvents without harmful Freon-based ingredients. It contains no corrosive harmful substances and is designed not to damage brake discs, rubber dust boots on brake components, or painted metal calipers. It can also be used to clean plastic and rubber components while helping prevent premature aging and cracking.
■ Fast Cleaning and Drying without Residue: The product quickly dissolves oil, grease, and dust and evaporates rapidly. Components do not require prolonged air-drying after cleaning and can be dried with a high-pressure air gun before reassembly. It leaves no residual oily film, helping prevent brake slippage caused by cleaner residue.
■ Versatile Compatibility with Multiple Components: One product for multiple applications. It cleans complete disc and drum brake assemblies, as well as clutch assemblies and brake calipers. It is suitable for a wide range of service operations, including brake pad replacement, brake maintenance, and chassis inspections and repairs.
■ Convenient and Efficient Application: The product is supplied with a long extension tube for precise, targeted spraying from a distance. Stubborn contaminants can be treated with repeated applications and brushing. This improves workshop service efficiency and makes routine maintenance easier for vehicle owners.
Product Performance
■ Formulated with selected compliant, environmentally friendly non-fluorocarbon solvents, the Brake System Cleaner features strong penetrating and cleaning capabilities. It quickly penetrates and breaks down stubborn contaminants accumulated on disc and drum brake components, including asbestos brake pad dust, oil and grease stains, mud, sand, and gummy deposits. It effectively flushes away dirt from component surfaces. Thorough cleaning helps address brake noise and the risk of reduced braking performance associated with accumulated dust and oil contamination. It helps maintain proper contact between the brake pads and brake discs, stabilize braking performance, and reduce abnormal brake pad wear. By optimizing brake operating conditions through effective component cleaning, the product helps support vehicle braking safety.

Standard Instructions for Use

■ Work Environment: Work in an open, well-ventilated area. Shake the aerosol can thoroughly before use to ensure the contents are evenly mixed.
■ Prepare for Cleaning: Place an oil collection pan beneath the brake components to collect runoff containing oil, grease, and cleaning residue, preventing contamination of the ground.
■ Targeted Spraying: Fit the supplied extension tube to the spray nozzle. Hold the can 30–40 cm from the components and spray vertically onto the areas to be cleaned, thoroughly covering the relevant disc brakes, drum brakes, brake calipers, and other components.
■ Treat Stubborn Contaminants: For caked-on grease and heavy dust deposits, apply the cleaner repeatedly. Once the contaminants have dissolved sufficiently, wipe away any remaining residue with a cloth or brush.
■ Drying and Reassembly: After cleaning, use compressed air to dry the components thoroughly. Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembly, as residual moisture may temporarily reduce braking performance.
■ Post-Service Check: After reassembly, depress the brake pedal two or three times while the vehicle is stationary to check braking response. Confirm that the braking system is functioning normally before driving.
Precautions
■ Fire Safety During Storage and Transport: This product is a flammable pressurized container. Do not use or store it near open flames or high-temperature heat sources. Do not puncture or incinerate the can. During summer, do not leave the can in a vehicle exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. Store below 40°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid impacts and rough handling. Do not refill empty cans.
■ Storage: Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidental handling or misuse.
■ Spraying Requirements: Keep the aerosol can upright during spraying, with the angle between the can and the horizontal plane at least 45°. Do not spray with the can inverted or lying horizontally.
■ Ventilation: Carry out all work in an open, well-ventilated area. Do not apply large quantities of the product in enclosed or confined spaces.
■ Emergency Measures: If the product gets into the eyes, immediately flush with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention promptly. If accidentally swallowed, induce vomiting immediately and seek medical attention.
