■ Car clips are used in a wide range of applications as connection parts for the installation and fixing of cars, through the connection and installation of car bodies, interior and exterior trim, chassis, engines and electronic appliances. Usually used for plastic to plastic connections, or plastic to metal connections. Because of the simplicity of this process, a well-designed clip joint process requires little or no assistance, making it easy to transport and facilitate the removal of parts, as well as saving costs.
■ Over 70% of common clips are made of plastic, with less than 30% of clips being made of metal. Plastic clips are less damaging to the section than metal clips and are still the choice when it comes to areas where there is collision collapse or airbag bursting.
■ Plastic clips are more environmentally friendly than metal clips. Because plastic is corrosion resistant, it does not require surface treatment.
■ Clips are generally divided into two categories: removable and non-removable, which are subdivided into: arrowhead clips, door clips, female threaded clips, fir tree clips, etc.

■ The material used for the clips is PA66/PA6 and POM.
I. PA66 is polyhexanediamide, a thermoplastic resin material, commonly known as nylon-66, the main chain of molecules in the repetition of structural units, containing amide groups (- CONH -) of a class of thermoplastic resin.
(1)High mechanical strength, good toughness, high tensile and compressive strength, insulation resistance, fatigue resistance, heat resistance, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance.
(2)Resistant to alkali and most salt liquids, also resistant to weak acids, motor oil, gasoline, aromatic compounds and general solvents.
(3)Self-extinguishing, non-toxic, odourless, good weather resistance, inert to biological erosion, good antibacterial, anti-mould ability. Light weight, easy to dye, easy to shape.
II. The Chinese name of POM material is polyformaldehyde, which is one of the synthetic resin materials, commonly known as steel, plastic steel. Belonging to white or black plastic particles, molecular structure regularity and crystallinity make physical and mechanical properties are very good, often used to replace metal, have high hardness, light weight, high steel, high wear resistance, heat resistance is better.
(1) POM has good fatigue resistance and impact resistance, good creep resistance, compared with other plastics, POM in a wide range of temperature creep amount is small, can be used to make a variety of automotive parts.
(2) Good wear resistance, and has the characteristics of self-lubrication, low coefficient of friction and low water absorption.

■ Do not use too much force when dismantling the clips to prevent them from being damaged. It is best to replace all the clips with new ones to be installed after dismantling. This is because even if the clips are not damaged during disassembly, they may come loose during reinstallation, which will cause the interior to rattle when the car goes over bumpy roads.
■ There are many different types of clips on a car and different methods of removal. If the clip is simply snapped in place, try using a flat screwdriver to pry it up, but be careful not to use too much force when prying, otherwise it will easily cause damage to other parts. There is another type of clip that is more difficult to remove and requires the use of professional tools, so it is best to go to a professional repair shop for repairs.
