BATTERY FILTER

■   The main function of battery filter is to realize rapid heat dissipation of batteries. It’s a maintenance part mostly installed under the rear seat of a car, which is used to prevent wool, hairs, moisture, etc. produced by internal circulation from contact with the battery. It’s main purpose is preventing high temperature of battery, which can be very dangerous. Inside a filter electrostatic adsorption layer is available to absorb dust and moisture passing through the filter, so it is recommended to change the filter on a regular basis.

■   Find the battery filter cover and remove the screws (Most battery filters are installed under the rear seat).

■   Remove the battery filter cover.

■   Check the status of the battery filter and the internal status of the cover.

■   The buckle on the back of the housing needs to be pulled out with force. You can gently pry it with a straight screwdriver.

■   Install the new battery filter, check the gap of the two sides, make sure to fit the housing to the filter, otherwise it may cause damages to the filter.

■   Finally, put back the buckle plate.
